II, p. 145: Waller, 900 & 901: Waring [vol. II, p. 472, 1763] cites a publication by Agostini on mercury publ. in 1763 in Venice. The letter beginning on D2 recto is directed to Agostini; the Benvenuto publications on the waters of Lucca not in Waring's list of balneological works.:

(Nice original marbled endp.). A very good copy of this important sale of books and manuscripts from the estate of Mons. Benzon, American citizen, director of the famous firm of Naylor, Benzon & et Cie in London. Benzon died at the age of 52 in his scottish country home in September 1873. There are no further details on Benzon's life in the auction catalogue, this strictly at the request of the family. The descriptions of the books and manuscripts are in part by Henry Bordes [in the catalogue entries indicated by 'H.B.'], from whom many of the rare items originated. Benzon specialized in French books and bought his 'Perles bibliographiques' at the sales of de Radziwill, Yéméniz, Brunet, Baron Pichon, Potier, etc. Bound in (in the original printed wrappers) is the list of results. 400 lots sold in 3 days.
