Wonderfull mid 19th century Album amicorum musicorum belonging to Marie Berniard, née Gabry, with 36 contributions in text and 10 musical scores. A small etching by Norblin ['La Dessinateur' (Hillemacher nr 19, 4th state)]. one pencil drawing and idem one pencil drawing of a statue on ... paper pasted in. Unfortunately ..2, 3? sketches / drawings removed from the album, leaving remains of glue only. The contributions are all from the period 1837 - 1849 and include many important names from the world of literature, theatre and opera, composers, directors etc. Mainly dated and written during what must have been soirées and salons held at the house of Miette Berniard in Paris and Marseille. Among the contribuants: 'Clara' [Wieck-Schumann??], Halévy, Eugene Sue, Honoré Daumier, Louise Colet, Auguste Morel, de la Martine, Boulay-Paty, Ponchon, Ditchfield etc.
