Illegible (to us) handwritten notation along the bottom. Partial dotted lines present along the top and bottom. GOOD+ condition. Three vertical fold creases present. Minor toning and wrinkling. Illustration of a large capitalist standing on the backs of others at the center right of the paper. An event flier for a lecture/discussion of capitalism and its associated ills, especially in relation to events in Chile. The speakers were two economists, Douglas Doud and Patricio Barrueto, and also included music performed by Rafael Manriquez. Held at the La Pena Cultural Center, founded in 1975 in response to the 1973 coup in Chile. The center sponsors art and multicultural events, with a focus on the culture of Chile. GOOD condition. Five areas of paper loss to the reverse, from either removed tape or glue. This renders the paper very thin in those spots and rather translucent. Minor wrinkling and soiling. Good .

A leaflet advertising a debate between Dr. Barbara Roberts of the Women's National Abortion Coalition and Dr. Mildred F. Jefferson of the Value of Life Committee. Barbara Roberts was part of the Women's National Action Coalition, which was formed in 1971 and disbanded in 1973. The group advocated for abortion rights and birth control. Dr. Mildred F. Jefferson was a prominent anti-abortion activist, including serving as president of the National Right to Life Committee. GOOD condition. Poor printing quality, resulting in some text being rather faded. Minor wrinkling and toning. Good .

A handbill for a demonstration at the Atlantic Monthly offices, protesting a then recent article written by Richard Herrnstein, that according to the flier, used unresearched testimony to assert that IQ and genes puts one into their financial/social status. The BU SDS demanded that all remaining copies of the September issue of the Atlantic Monthly be taken back, a direct rebuttal printed, and Richard Herrnstein fired from Harvard. VERY GOOD condition. Minor wrinkling, fading and toning. Very Good .

A promotional piece for the experimental jazz group, Doctor Vincent Sakeeda's ATTACK Ensemble. It lists band members: Gary Hassay, Dave Smith, Bob Borso, Tom Bauer, and Donald Lehr. It also provides a summary of their take on the ensemble, "as a conceptual unit [that] strives to develop an intuitive musical language in order to maintain American jazz as a living, contemporary art form. Egyptian Magic Coin/Watch Fob Ca 1905

No Place, No Producer. Unbound. Egyptian Magic Coin/Watch Fob. No producer, place or date. Perhaps Sears and Roebuck, circa 1905. Either brass or bronze metal, a little over 1 ¼ inches in diameter. A coin or watch fob piece created in the early 1900s, by a variety of makers, capitalizing on the Egyptian revival fad in US popular culture at the turn of the century. Four different styles have been documented, with this one bearing a bird with a short beak on the Sphinx side, and three balls to the right of the seated pharaoh on the other side. Sears and Roebuck issued a piece such as this, sold as a watch fob, first in 1905, and then in 1907. GOOD condition. Heavy rubbing, with some soiling and tarnishing, to the coin. The rubbing has resulted in the loss of defined features. Small loop at the top. Good .

Goldish colored metal, although very tarnished or worn on the obverse to a dull brown. Presumably commemorative medal celebrating the life of inventor Elias Howe Jr. best known for his sewing machine. Text along the edge of the medal reads "Elias Howe Jr. Inventor and Maker. New York." GOOD condition. Obverse very worn, being very brown, darkened and tarnished. Reverse less so, with a few areas of discoloration and a large area in the center that looks like solder. Good .
