A thorough look at flying airplanes, considering seaplane flying, types of aircraft, aircraft design details, the use of senses, the art of test flying, etc. With photos of single engine seaplanes, monoplanes, biplanes, triplanes, flying boats, etc. Norman Macmillan was a pilot during World War I, serving in the British Armed Forces and considered an ace by having nine confirmed victories. GOOD condition. Area of dark scuffing/staining/soiling to the front cover, with some dark scuffs to the rear cover. Minor soiling, fading, scuffing and edgewear. Interior solid. Very minor scattered foxing, with a faint dampstain affecting the fore edge of a few pages. One sentence underlined in pencil in the text. Good/No Jacket.
