Primarily a photo history of the Piscataqua River area in New Hampshire/Maine. The author, a professional photographer, gathered many photos from 1855 to 1920 that chronicled the growth and change surrounding the river. Contemporary newspaper accounts accompany the photos providing an in-depth study of the area, as experienced by those who lived there. GOOD jacket on a VERY GOOD book. Minor to moderate toning to the jacket, with light soiling, staining and foxing. Some scuffing. Several tears along the extremities and hinges, with a few chips and minor loss, and resulting in some creasing. Hint of fading and edgewear to the book. Small owner's address label and large gift inscription, in ink, on the first endpaper. Very Good/Good.

Rear wrapper missing. Piece is very tenuously holding together, with some pages loose, and the front cover barely attached to the rest. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present, with heavy creasing and wrinkling. Moderate to heavy dark scuffing and soiling, with some staining, including heavy ink stains to the front wrapper. Chipping and tearing along the extremities, especially to the front wrap. Overall very heavy wear. Poor .

Also present is the piece 'About A Cat,' by Gail Hamilton (pen name of Mary Abigail Dodge) a writer known for her support of equal opportunities for women. With pieces on the planets, etc. GOOD condition. Covers torn along the lower hinges, about 3 inches in length, with a1 by 2 inch triangular piece missing from the lower rear cover. Covers also split about 4 inches down along the upper hinge. Minor scattered staining to the front cover, with moderate staining to the rear. Minor soiling and browning. With a fold out chart listing the staff of the Field Marshal Duke of Wellington. No map or plan present. An account of the battle of Waterloo, written as both a travel guide to the site, as well as providing a description of the battles. The lengthy appendix provides French and Spanish accounts of the fighting, a list of regiments under Wellington's command, and an alphabetical list of officers killed and wounded. GOOD condition with heavy fading to the spine and along the extremities. Minor soiling and scuffing, with a few scattered black ink speckles to the front and rear covers. Light bumping and wear along the extremities. Interior hinges weak but intact, with the text block solid. Scattered foxing and minor soiling throughout. Some wear along the fold out chart edges. With very short pieces on The Boys, The Rezillos, The Wailers and a lengthy interview with former Sex Pistols producer Dave Goodman. Last page a pin up photo of the Buzzcocks. A collection of comedic plays by African-Roman playwright Terentius, or as more commonly known, Terence. He was originally enslaved and brought to Rome, being freed after impressing his enslaver with his abilities. Much of his work was inspired by, or adapted from, early Greek plays, and was particularly popular for its use of clear and simple language. Armorial bookplate of Sir John William Lubbock present, although no indication as to which one. GOOD condition. Heavy chipping, flaking and tearing to the leather along the spine and hinges, with areas of loss to the lower spine. Moderate uneven darkening and fading to the covers, with minor soiling. Extremities bumped and scuffed. Aforementioned bookplate present. A previous owner has glued fold out pieces of paper to the endpages, all bearing ink lists of names.
