Whereunto, besides many additions (as appeares by the contents) are annexed divers alphabeticall tables; especially two: The first, an index of things. The second, a concordance of names.
Printed by Elizabeth Pursloww, and are to be sold by Nichlas Bourne, at his shop at the South Entrance of the Royall Exchange. 1633. Folio, in 6's. (13.5 x 8.9 inches).Woodcut coats-of-arms frontispiece, 8 unnumbered leaves, 939 pages, 14 unnumbered leaves (the 2 tables). Finely illustrated with coats of arms and decorative head and tail pieces. Frontis and Title pages laid down. Several pages with neat repairs to margins and a few to the text. Some staining, mostly to the page edges. Overall a good copy in nineteenth century binding of full dark brown calf. Spine with five raised bands. Burgundy label with gilt lettering. The compartments ruled and decorated in blind. Boards with blind ruled borders and floral corner pieces. Marbled endpapers. All edges dyed red. Some rubbing and wear to the binding but overall a complete and presentable copy.

Original black cloth-backed printed pictorial boards with the spine lettered in white. In the original colour printed dust jacket with the price of $1.50 still intact at the top of the inner front flap but the bottom of the flap clipped. A very good copy of the book in good dustwrapper with loss to the bottom of the spine, affecting the last three letters of the publishers name. Some creasing and rubbing to the edges but overall a copy in collectable condition. The first book in the series, this is the charming story of what a good imagination and one crayon can bring.

(3.9 x 2.5 inches). 48pp, including the first and last blanks which are pasted directly onto the inside leaves of the printed wrappers. Sewn text pages. Illustrated with a full page wood-engraved frontispiece of Captain Gulliver and 12 smaller woodcuts within the text. Original blue printed paper wrappers with upside-down double face illustration on lower cover. Neat ink title written on the front panel otherwise a fine copy of this scarce little edition, issued in Ross's Juvenile Library. A remarkable survivor. The work is undated but the British Library catalogue suggests a publication date of either 1814 or 1815, while the Bodleian Library estimates 1815.

(13.1 x 8.7 inches). 10, 812, 32(Table) pp. Curiously, the extra title page to part two (The lamentable and tragical history of the vvarres and utter ruine of the Jevves. Comprised in seven books) is dated 1656 and gives Abel Roper of Fleet Street as publisher. Some pagination errors but complete and this copy with six illustrations not called for, bound in at a later date. Some staining and toning to many pages. Title page with 2 previous owners names and addresses written in ink. A couple of pages with minor tears to the margins and neat strengthening to page edges but overall a very good copy in a 20th century full panelled calf binding. Spine with raised bands. Compartments decorated in blind and lettered in gilt. ---- Extra illustrated copy with six early pages bound in, not called for in the collation; 2 folding maps (A map of the Children of Israel's travels and marches in the wilderness from their going out of Egypt to their passage over the River Jordan, and The expedition of Shalmaneser King of Assyria against the Syrians and the Ten tribes of Israel) and four full page plates (The Tabernacle with its curtains; Golden candlestick with seven branches; The Brasen Laver or Bason; Table of Shen bread and Altar of burnt offerings).
