Rev Canon J E Jackson:
Edington Monastery.
Devizes: H F Bull, 1882. First edition (softcover). 8vo (24cm by 18cm), title, 66pp. 4 plates from photographs. Plese note that this book is disbound; it lacks the covers and the spine, and the stitching is a little loose. Light foxing of the exterior pages, else the contents are clean. Perhaps most suitable as a binding copy, but could also be used as a cheap reading, working or reference copy.

Edward Jeboult:
A general account of West Somerset, description of the valley of the Tone, and the history of the town of Taunton.
Taunton: Somerset and Bristol Steam-Press, 1873. First edition (hardback). 4to, iv, 134pp; 121pp; 94pp. Frontispiece and plates, all from photographs, glued on to paper mounts. Bound in the original brown cloth, but the binding is tatty with both boards detached and the spine missing. There is staining to the lower corner of the first 20 pages, and the paper mounts have some creasing (cause by shrinkage of the glue used to attach the plates). The text block is tightly bound, however, and this is suitable as a reading, working or binding copy. The book is made up of three parts (West Somerset, Tone Valley, Taunton), all with separate pagination.
