Small paper repair at outer margin of leaf H3 (pages 117-118) without loss of text. 19th-century russet brown calf decorated with blind tooling; gilt title label on spine; minor repair to front cover; brown endpapers; all edges marbled. ***** Neo-Latin verses, which, apart from religious themes, include a poem in praise of chocolate, panegyrics and funeral odes, a poem on snuff, 'Icones philosophorum' (Pythagoras, Plato, Democritus, &c.), 'Horologium cum cantionibus musicis'. The final 16 pages include a few verses with Spanish translations appended: Martial, Ausonius, Juvenal, and Alciatus (emblems 194 and 108). ***** Palau 120851.
