Presentation inscription from the author to Sir Henry Strachey, British politician. First edition. Comprises various essays on Arabic and Persian literature and languages. The engraved plate illustrate a vase in Weston's collection and is an early example of Chinese ceramic design in Western literature. Cordier BS 1565. Löwendahl 737.
