Wilson and the other surviving members of this disastrous expedition to the South Pole. G+ cloth bound set with decorative boards, some mild foxing, covers faded, heels rubbed, first thus edition, xviii 497+ x 431pages + advertisements, plates and maps, each with a short clean tear, Bookplate at front of each book, and India ink name and address to rear paste down, name to free end paper, each vol has a few contemporary clippings with photographs of the expedition tipped in half way through the books, these are tipped into the spine margin, not pasted down to the pages. Good/No Jacket.
