The folding map is in very good condition. This copy has been professionally re-backed, with new endpapers, and is now a very sturdy volume in good plus condition. The preliminary pages are lightly stained at the foredge, and bottom right corner. After about p. 35, this staining is negligible and then disappears. Occasional very light foxing. Ill.: maps, b&w illustrations.

Corners of boards rounded, with wear to lower tips. Vellum spine darkened - lettering still bright. Bookseller's ticket to lower right of front pastedown. Hinges tight: contents clean and tight. A good copy, with some cosmetic defects. This edition is the second publication of the Argonaut Press and is limited to 975 copies on Japon vellum, this being designated as copy number 90. Ill.: maps, b&w illustrations.
