This book of photographs celebrating Tuscan craftmanship, past and present, was published by the CNA on the fortieth anniversary of its foundation. The crafts and skills pictured range from the manufacturing of automobiles and electrical equipment to hair-cutting, tailoring, jewellery- and watch-making, ceramics, upholstery and metalwork. The book's Preface is by noted Italian poet Mario Luzi. Fine .

Poet and photographer Gerard Malanga obtained previously unpublished photographs from more than thirty major artists and then interviewed each artist for this book. Among the artists are William Burroughs, Charles Henri Ford, Duane Michals, Larry Rivers, Edward Ruscha, Andy Warhol and Francisca Woodman. Very good .

Peder Gunvald [or Gunvold] Hermansen [1910-1993], commonly known as Advokat [Attorney] Hermansen was a well-known Oslo eccentric. He acted as a sort of modern court jester, walking around in colorful costumes, playing the harmonica and making random provocative comments to passers by. An unattributed typed translation of the Norwegian text is laid in, including the extensive captions but not the introduction.
