The Art of E Blair Leighton (The Art Annual, Christmas 1913)
London, Virtue 1913 32pp, many illustrations including several colour plates tipped in, with tissue guards. 34x26, library bound with original wraps cover glued to boards. Ex library, usual labels, a few marks, good thus. Edmund Leighton was a popular late Victorian painter of historic and romantic scenes, many featuring knights and damsels in suitably heroic poses. An interesting insight into popular, as opposed to high, art of the period.
