Box slightly sunned, contents fine. As noted, the sketchbook is missing. Published to coincide with an exhibition at the Association by Peter Weil, called 'Heavy Box'. Introductory essays by Dawn Ades, Nigel Coates, J Christopher Jones and John Thackara. Very unusual and interesting item.

Attractive cloth cover, 21x22. Very good copy in dust wrapper. Text pages a little tanned. Probably the best one-volume work on Jugendstil posters, and its advertising art generally. Excellent reference for the various countries.

Berlin, Fröhlich & Kaufmann, 1979. 143pp , mostly illustrations. Wraps, 24x17. Spine edges faintly rubbed, else good copy. Fascinating look at women in posters, mostly mirroring social movements such as votes for women, equal pay etc. Also interesting wartime exhortations for women to 'play their part'. Early posters are mainly from Europe and Russia, whilst post-WW2 examples increasingly come from the East.
