On the plus side, this is one of the rarest of the Famous Five first editions - some people rate it as rarer than Five on a Treasure Island.

Please note that this book is in fair to good condition only - several of the illustrations have been coloured in, there is juvenile scribbling to the rear endpapers, the words "naughty jane!" have been written on the front board, there is an inscription to the front free endpaper, and there is some foxing to the preliminary pages. Author's presentation copy, signed by her on the front free endpaper: "Joy, love from Enid Blyton". This is the first of the Amelia Jane books, and is hard to find as a first edition.
