A monthly almanac issued as a promotional piece for Wright's Indian Vegetable Pills, containing many testimonials as to the use and effectiveness of the pills in treatment of everything from asthma to flatulence. With humorous illustrations/captions at the top of most months, as well as the music and lyrics to "The Picket's Last Watch," by David S. Warden, presumably a piece written about the Civil War. Wright used Native American and Greek imagery in an attempt to lend credibility to his patent medicine. GOOD condition. Small hole punch at the upper left corner. Minor soiling and general toning. Some chipping, creasing and tearing along the extremities. Good .
