Contemporary boards with printed title-ticket on frontcover. Impressive large maps, showing van Lynden's plans to drain the Haarlemmermeer. His ideas formed the basis for the draining system used for the reclamation of the Haarlemmermeer. The first map shows Holland with its lakes and ponds for the reclamations. The second map shows Holland in 1820 with its dry ponds and lakes. The third card is divided into six sections with the various extensions of the Haarlemmer Meer from 1531 to 1808, and the fourth card shows the Haarlemmer Meer after being drained according to the plan of Baron van Lynden van Hemmen. A pair of tools are shown on the plate.l Contents loose(ning); 2 maps and 1 plate (vaguely) waterstained in 2 corners.
