Etching/printdrawing after a drawing by Thomas Wijck. A traveller and his mule just ouside a city (Rome?) gate. From a series of landscapes and seescapes after Dutch masters of the 17th century, published under the supervision of Cornelis Ploos van Amstel. Possibly from Christiaan Josi's series: 'Collection d'imitations de dessins d'après les principaux maîtres hollandais et flamands, Londen, C.Josi, 1821'.
