The program text is largely devoted to an illustrated description of the theater's interior decoration, designed by Wilfred Buckland, and the painted panels executed by Everett Shinn. Very good .

The celebrated American actress known as Mrs. Leslie Carter played Madame du Barry in David Belasco's play "Du Barry". This special edition of Ford's account of Du Barry's life includes the full credits for the production at the Belasco Theatre, a preface by Belasco, three plates from designs for the theatre, and portraits of Carter and Belasco. Very good .

Earl Blackwell came from southern gentry and mixed comfortably with the international jet set, using his social connections to raise money for the less fortunate, especially children in need. He became a promoter of celebrities and celebrity events and in 1939 founded Celebrity Service, which offered information and research, and published an International Celebrity Register. He was a director of the Broadway Foundation and, from 1957 to 1965, of the Mayor's Committee on Scholastic Achievement, which raised money for college scholarships. "The Fool" is based on the life of farm laborer turned poet John Clare and is published along with the six "Clare poems" written by Bond at the same time as the play. "We Come to the River" is the libretto for an opera with music by Hans Werner Henze, which was due to receive its British premiere at Covent Garden Opera House in July 1976. Very good .
