Includes in most cases a facsimile of the signature whose descent is traced out, whilst on the opposite page is given, in the case of armorial families an engraving of the arms borne. The pedigree at the beginning of the volume shows the descent of Edward III from most of the Royal Houses of Europe and consequently the early ancestry of nearly all those whose genealogies given in the work. Although the name of the compiler is not stated on the title page, a short paragraph on page 99 states 'William, the Second Lord Bagot, and Compiler of these Memorials....' The volume is inscribed on a preliminary page to Henry Eyers Landor Esq, and dated Blithfield, January 1827. There is also a signature of Lord Bagot on the reverse of the linen back hand coloured engraving bound in at page 74. Also bound in at page 158 is a manuscript description of the felling of an elm tree.. G+ : in Good condition plus with marbled eps. Cover and spine lightly rubbed. Upper joint slightly split.
