Make Every Minute Count - We Have No Time to Lose!" Circa World War II Navy Poster
New York, Lutz and Sheinkman presumed Publisher. Unbound. no date, circa 1941 to 1945. Single sheet, 40 by 30 inches. Printed in red, white and blues. A motivational poster issued by the US Navy, quoting Admiral Ernest J King, who was at the time commander in chief of the US fleet, and who urges "make every minute count we have no time to lose!" Beneath a large photo of, presumably, Admiral King standing alongside a member of the US Navy are the slogans "avoid time off! and "avoid time out!" Beneath this is the quote "don't slow up the ship." Small print indicates this was issued by the Incentive Division of the US Navy, with the alphanumeric sequence S-8-11M. FAIR condition. Stored rolled thus curled. Several large tears at the upper left corner and top edge with many small tears, chips and creases along the lower left edge. Minor loss to the upper left corner. Other small tears, chipping, and creasing present along the extremities. A center horizontal fold crease present. Minor toning and soiling. A small puncture present near the upper left corner. Several creases and wrinkles present to the poster with some appearing to just be starting to tear. Fair .

This concert featured the German electronic band Malaria, along with Nina Hagen, a German singer associated with punk and new wave. VERY GOOD condition with minor wrinkling, toning and edgewear. A lithograph poster made from a photo of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. Printed by Julian Richardson, perhaps best known as the founder of Marcus Bookstore in San Francisco, a store that served as a meeting place for Black artists in San Francisco, as well as a gathering place for members of the Black Panther Party. FAIR condition. Heavy browning to the paper, with faint dampstaining along the top and bottom edge. A few other ink stains and stains present, as well as general soiling. Creasing and wrinkling present, mostly along the extremities, along with several bumps, dings, chips and small tears. Pinholes at the corners and tape at the upper left corner. Overall a worn example of this. Fair .

The flier cites efforts by the union that established a union at the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Hospital and their work to gain higher wages. According to the flier, the bosses were attempting to thwart the union and break it up. GOOD condition. A pinback presumably given to children as part of the Modern Health Crusade originated by the National Association for the Study and Prevention of Tuberculosis in 1915. The program expanded in the 1920s to cover various aspects of health and hygiene in schools, using a chivalry based system for advancement based on accomplishment. The red S present on the lower portion of the pinback may indicate this was given to a squire. National Tuberculosis Association printed on the reverse. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning and rubbing, with some scuffs and bumps on the lip of the curl. Some rusting to the pin. Very Good .

A notice to sailors that the light at Long Wharf in New Haven, CT was to be discontinued under the authority of the Treasury under the advisement of the Light-house Board. It appears an iron post was erected in 1854, and its use was discontinued from 1859 to 1861. A tower was eventually built, and is still in operation today. GOOD+ condition. The group also asserts thar the NLF and Provisional Revolutionary Government are the legitimate government of South Vietnam. One subtitle reads: "MIT: Research for DEATH."
