Like most such titles, the publisher, place of publication and year of publication are rightfully suspect -- a New York publisher of such underground material might list a location far-removed (often by an ocean) and even a year decades-removed in order to circumvent pornography laws. Sometimes seen in lush leather binding, this copy is bound in a stereotypical plain wrapper. .

Facsimile of a cryptic "Antique Original" in which the ten all-text pages are divided by an all-color "And here is the Story of Puss in Boots in Pantomime" section, being a facsimile of what appears to be a late 19th century color lithography edition -- not pop-up style, but the kind of novelty printing in which various-size pages overlap one upon the next, revealing the story entirely in pictures as you go.
