Marbled paper covered boards with leather spine and corners with red leather label to the spine. The spine cover now largely missing, and the front hinge cracked but holding. Marbled endpapers and foredge. Armorial bookplate of Monkhouse Tate. Vignette illustration to the title page. A vignette including a man flying a kite to the second title page on p155. Internally clean and complete. Includes a poem on the coronation of George III, and several with Bath connections. The author was a clergyman and friend of William Shenstone and Ralph Allen, and was tutor to the young Malthus, and a successful novelist... Good.
