As nice an exemplar of an ex-library copy as one can fine, and a horologist's dream, being graced with lovely reproductions of the collection of vintage and antiquarian watches of George A. Hearn, donated by his widow to the Long Island Historical Society, and then displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Printed at The Gilliss Press, a tall octavo format, measuring 9 3/4" x 7 1/2" in height and width, respectively. Photographs by Mr. Charles Balliard for this museum exhibit catalogue. Presentation copy bookplate inside front flap, another by the Long Island Historical Society, with a "discarded" ink-stamp over one of the two embossed stamps, the second being inside rear flap, with some abraded tips and light smudgings to endpapers, else clean and bright.
