"frieze" bearing the coats of arms of the City and Suburbs of Rotterdam, and a collection, consisting of 308 (!!!) finely coloured, coats of arms of Noble Rotterdam families/ members of the City Coucil. In the original, full calf, presentation binding, bearing the Rotterdam Coat of Arms, within a double gilt filet line and a rolled, gilt, border Small imperfections to binding, scratches, corners bumped, spine professionally, renewed, with title piece in "old style" (fine!!) Contends of a true museal, pristine quality. The etchings are by Johannes de Vou and the celebrated Romeijn de Hooghe. ALL PRINTS, AND THE MAP, IN A SUPERBLY EXECUTED, VERY VIVID & BRIGHT, STRICTLY CONTEMPORARY COLOURING, Ask for a condition detailed condition report/photo's . In this condition of the utmost rarity, a true gem!! Should form the cornerstone of any topographical collection.
