London, The House of Commons. 1826. hardcover. Used, Six reports printed/published over the years 1826-7. The third report focuses on the Foundling Hospital of Dublin, with examinations of relevant staff, recorded verbatim, along with similar interviews with 19 girls and 12 boys from the hospital, and various supplementary documents. The fourth focuses, similar, on the Belfast Academical Institution; the fifth is a brief report on the Diocesan Schools; the sixth deals in-depth (i.e. with transcripts, etc.) with the Hibernian Society for the Care of Soldiers Children and two connected institutions; the seventh the Royal Cork Institution. The ninth is a retrospective discussing difficulties connected with the reports and contains, additionally, supplementary Scripture lessons and Christian texts. The six reports have Ministry of Education stickers on their individual covers and ink stamps on their title pages; they are bound in one oversized green hardcover with gilt title and call no. on spine. Sunned at one edge, a little bumped/shelfworn, but still very good condition; interior pages a little warped, possibly from storage in a damp environment; some light foxing at beginning and end of the various reports.
