Being a Farther Vindication of a Moral Truth and Reason; Occasioned by two Books lately published: One Intitled, The Divine Authority of the Old and New Testaments assorted. With a particular Vindication of Moses and the Prophets, Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and his Apostles, against the Unjust Assertations, and False Reasonings of a Book intitled, the Moral Philopher by the Reverend Mr Leland. The Other Intitled Eusebius: Or, The True Christian's Defence, etc. By the Rev. Mr Chapman. The first volume of The Moral Philosopher was published anonymously in 1737 with the second and third volumes published subsequently in response to criticism. The work is a dialogue between a Christian Jew, Theophanus, and a Christian deist, Philalethes.
