Carlotta Leclercq (1838–1893) was a British actress, one of the children of Charles Clark (1797–1861) and his wife, Margaret, née Burnet. Clark, a pantomimist and ballet master, who performed under the stage name of Charles Leclercq. All of her brothers and sisters were actors: Rose, Louise, Charles Jr. Arthur and Pier Charles Albert Fechter (1824 –1879) was an Anglo-French actor who moved to the U.S. in 1870 after a sucessful London career in the 1860's.

Edwin Forrest (1806-1872) was a prominent nineteenth-century American Shakespearean actor. His feud with the British actor William Macready was the cause of the deadly Astor Place Riot of 1849.

Agnes Kelly Robertson (1833 – 1916) was born in Edinburgh and became a popular actress on the American stage.She was the ward of Charles Kean, and the juvenile lead in his theatre company. There she met the actor and dramatist Dion Boucicault, a collaborator of Kean's. In 1853, she and Boucicault left for America without Kean's permission and married in New York, creating a scandal.
