The Icelandic Canadian
Winnipeg: Canadian Icelandic Heritage, Inc., 1999-2013. Paper bound, stapled pamphlet, smaller quarto (9.5 x 6.5 inches), Pp48. Each issue contains feature articles and/or works of fiction along with book reviews and advertisements by Icelandic businesses and community service organizations. While some articles deal with Iceland proper, most of the articles and stories deal with or are written by members of the Icelandic community in Manitoba, since Manitoba has by far the largest Icelandic population in the world outside the mother country. While the periodical started publishing back in 1942, we have about 25 fairly recent issues available from 1999-2013 -- or from Volume 55, No. 2 (1999) to Vol. 66 #1 (2013). In addition, we also have some issues from the 1970s. Each issue is tight and clean, in very good or better condition. Approximate weight is 120 grams per issue. If you are looking for any issue of The Icelandic Canadian, please contact us and we'll provide a free online search for you even if we don't have the issue in stock. The scanned/featured issue is of Volume 62 #1 (2008). Contents of this issue include: Editorial by Agnes Bardal Comack; 'A Tribute to the Fishers of Lake Winnipeg by Catherine Robertson'; 'Season to Season' by Eric S.
