oxford, Clarendon Press 3rd edition 1892 contains the First Philippic and Three Olynthiacs which preceded the Peace of Philocrates. . sm.8vo Wine red cloth black lettered to title and covers [edges bumped/ ] Vol.I Titlepage + Advertisement leaf + 26 pages of Introduction in English giving a very good summary of the time between 403 B.C. & 348 B.C when Olynthus fell due to the treachery of two commanders of the Olynthian cavalry. Pages 27-80 are in GREEK with extensive but neat notes by a student. The Second titlepage is the same as the first but deals with Part II - NOTES pages 3-60 starting with Analysis in English, then First Philippic notes in greek and english the Olynthiac Analysis & Notes for each of the three parts. The index is followed by a list of Greek educational works issued by the Clarendon Press. Laid in are two leaves of a students notes one of which was given a grade of Alpha-

oxford, Clarendoniano 1903 [but prossibly as late as 1932] Text in GREEK throughout . 3 Volumes 8vo red-brown cloth with black cover details and lettering to covers and spine [Vol.I rather tired & rubbed/corners bumped/ Vols. 2 & 3 sl.rubbed but neat and tight] half title "Scriptorum Classicorum Bibliotheca Oxoniensis" +Titlepage + Preface etc. [totalling 22 pages + errata insert] 451pp - page 22-3 have a few underlinings as also p43-47 and pages 225 to 333 have english translations of words neatly put into the margins. Only some of the pages have these notes and they are quite readable. Though the binding is rather tired the contents are well attached, without tears and not fingered but with a few names to endpapers. Volume II part 1 carries on from Part I numbers 451-808 and is clean and crisp and Volume II Part 2 continues to 1026 followed by a list of Oxford classical texts. There are translations and underlinings,mainly in pencil,to pages 813-835. Aside from the 2 names to the front free endpapers some penciled notes to the rear endpapers the book otherwise seems not to have been used and is in very good shape.

Pages 71-108 gives the notes for each of the three followed by the index on p109-111. There are neat anotations ,mainly in pencil, to the margins of the greek text and the rear pastedown has a pencil drawing. The book is otherwise in very good shape.
