The top woodcut is probably a reused block of a waste collector, who is loading his cart. The bottom woodcut, with three drummers, was likely used as a New Year wish. Both woodcuts are signed ‘LUB’ (D. and H. van Lubeek?).Zutphen, W.C. Wansleven (c.1820 - c.1845); address mentioned on print: ‘Te Zutphen, ter Boekdrukkerij van W. C. Possibly from Christiaan Josi's series: 'Collection d'imitations de dessins d'après les principaux maîtres hollandais et flamands, Londen, C.Josi, 1821'. Made by Hendrik Johannes Haverman in 1893.Hendrik Johannes Haverman (Amsterdam 1857 - 1928 The Hague) was a Dutch painter, sculptor and graphic artist, as well as art critic. He was a student in Amsterdam, and later in Antwerp and Brussels. There he was awarded the Leopoldsorde.In gooed condition, some minor imperfections in the sheet edges. The image nice and crisp.
