Emily Dickinson Townsend Vermeule [1928-2001] was a classical scholar and archaeologist, author of numerous scholarly works and a popular lecturer. She attended the Brearley School from 1934 to 1946 and then attended Bryn Mawr College. She married Cornelius Clarkson Vermeule in 1957. Good .
