ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
The Architectural Review (Vol 107, No 637, January 1950) The Functional Tradition (A Special Number on...)
London, Architectural Press 1950 lxxxviii adverts etc, 78pp, many bw photos, some colour etc 31x25, wraps. Spine a bit chipped, small piece missing from back cover, good thus. Very interesting look at the ephemera of man-made landscapes - signs, gates, posts, barriers etc - lettering and detailing; ends with a comparison of Lyme Regis and the new town at Stevenage. Cullen provided the bulk of the illustrations in a fascinating issue.
