Claude-Henri de Saint-Simon
Oeuvres. 6 vols.
Anthropos 1966. Claude-Henri de Saint-Simon, scion of old and famous French aristocratic family, undertook the task to analyse, on the basis of the French and Industrial Revolutions, in view of Europe’s common Christian heritage , the future (“industrial”) structure of society. His efforts evoked the sect of “Saint-Simoniens”, which made him look ridiculous, and inspired major 19th century theoreticians, like Karl Marx, behind whose huge fame his name disappeared. The editors, considering that Saint-Simon’s Oeuvres Complètes, dating from 1868-1878, were extremely rare but also incomplete, decided to offer a “réimpression anastaltique” which contains the 11 volumes of that edition in five volumes, and added a 6th volume which offers new materials. So this edition 6 volumes, 2/2/3/2/2/1 volumes per volume: 1/248 and 223 pages; 2/234 and 242 pages; 3/240, 262 and 192 pages; 4/203 and 207 pages; 5/258 and 313 pages; 6/526 pages some pages underlinings / bindings(softcovers) repaired with tape (code N-39)
