Description: No Place, No publisher. Unbound. No publisher, place or date. Presumed late 1960s. Single sheet, thick paper stock. 25 by 19 inches. Perhaps produced via a block ink pressing. Thick ink used to produce the imagery. A protest poster depicting a young man holding a book and a rifle, dressed in paramilitary style garb. With the phrase "To carry out universal education-" Not a massed produced poster. Based on provenance, this may have been created for student protests either at Columbia University or Harvard University, in the mid to late 1960s. The former owner attended both schools, and based on the underground newspapers and leaflets in their collection, was at the very least, interested in the social movements and activism of the late 1960s. GOOD condition. Center vertical fold crease present, along with five horizontal fold creases (originally stored folded). Minor toning and soiling. Light bumping along the extremities. Good .
