Video 80 was issued essentially in conjunction with the San Francisco International Video Festival, a festival that ran from 1980 to 1987. The festival was conceived of by Stephen Agetstein as a way to broaden the audience for video art. Agestein spent 1980 driving a cab to raise funds for the 1980 inaugural festival. This magazine, Video 80 (named after the first festival) was issued to promote the festival and video art and artists. This issue features an article by Gene Youngblood on erotic art in video; an interview with Rainer Fassbinder; and the complete catalogue of the 1982 video festival. GOOD+ condition.
