Description: London, Frank M. Good, Publisher. Unbound. no date, circa 1866 to 1869. Thick cardboard stock. 7 by 3 ½ inches. No. 145 in Good's Eastern Series. Stereoview of the pyramids of Cheops and Chephren with the caption on the reverse stating in part that they were "the oldest and largest monuments in the world." Photo depicts the two pyramids looming large in the background, with several people in the foreground. Getty Museum collections indicate this was published at some time between 1866 and 1869. Frank Mason Good was an English photographer best known for his stereographic views of the Near East, taken over the course of four trips in the 1860s and 1870s. Side by side photos. GOOD+ condition. General toning, some fading and soiling. Good .
