Usual monthly almanac information, along with election returns from various states, a look at the values of foreign currency and money, a declaration of principles of the Whig Party from a convention in Massachusetts, etc. Of note are several pieces on the US-Mexican War, one discussing the origins of the war and another providing the latest news of the war, battles, etc. A third is a speech by Tom Corwin on the war. Also present is a printing of a speech by Henry Clay at Lexington (Kentucky?). GOOD+ condition. General uneven toning. Minor soiling. Minor spotting. Light wrinkling and edgewear. Text block toned. Small owner's name in ink on the upper front cover. Good .
