Single issue of this newspaper devoted to issues facing working artists, from health hazards to labor disputes, fair pay, censorship, housing, issues faced by women artists and artists of color, etc. The paper did not review or critique art. This issue with a column by artist Eunice Golden, discussing the censorship at a museum in Queens that eliminated any art depicting a penis, despite the theme of the show being how women perceive men. Eunice Golden is an American painter whose work often focuses on feminist themes, as well as sexuality through the depiction of male nudes. Her work is held in many museums, including the Whitney. The Foundation for the Community of Artists was founded in 1971 as an organization that supported working artists. It ceased operations around 1991. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate toning. A few minor creases. Good .
