Title: Poor Richard's" New Farmer's Almanac. For the Year of Our Lord 1836
Description: Concord, NH, M.G. Atwood. Wraps. no date, perhaps 1835. Plain blue wrappers over perhaps the original wrappers. 48 pp. A few small illustrations at the top of each month page. Portrait of Benjamin Franklin on the front cover. An almanac appropriating the image and alias of Benjamin Franklin, presumably to capitalize on the success of his original almanacs. This particular iteration from New Hampshire appears to have had a short run, published from 1834 to 1839. This contains the usual monthly almanac information, as well as agricultural tips, news from New England courts, recipes for curing wasp stings, fixing chimneys and a variety of other subjects. GOOD condition. Blue wrappers with uneven toning, minor soiling and general wrinkling/creasing. Paper toned, with minor to moderate scattered foxing throughout. Good .
