Title: The College Voice. Monday, February 21, 1972. Vol. VII, Number 6
Description: No Place, No publisher, 1972. Tabloid. Presumably published by students at North Country Community College in Saranac Lake, New York. Tabloid newspaper format. 4 pp. A straightforward school newspaper from NCCC, a community college founded in 1967. Of note in this issue is an account of a debate between Socialist Workers Party candidate for president, Linda Jenness, and Republican presidential candidate, Paul McCloskey, documenting many talking points by Jenness. Also present is a short piece on Brother Julius, a notorious leader of a religious group, The Work, that is considered a cult by many. The Work was founded in the early 1970s by Brother Julius, who claimed to be God (at this lecture), or Jesus, and specifically followed what was printed in the Bible. The article reports on a lecture he gave, as well as some of his interesting answers. Allegations of sexual abuse and financial crimes have been levied at the organization throughout the years. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present, with other moderate wrinkling and creasing present. Some soiling and uneven toning. Good .
