Description: Washington, US Treasury Department, Publisher, 1859. Unbound. Single sheet, 8 ¼ by 11 ½ inches. Printed on laid paper. A notice to sailors that the light at Long Wharf in New Haven, CT was to be discontinued under the authority of the Treasury under the advisement of the Light-house Board. It appears an iron post was erected in 1854, and its use was discontinued from 1859 to 1861. A tower was eventually built, and is still in operation today. GOOD+ condition. Minor wrinkling, toning and edgewear. Good .
