Description: Boston, John and Thomas Fleet. Pamphlet. No date but circa 1802. Printed wraps. 34 pp including covers. Contains 12 pages of calendars with various astrological and astronomical information pertaining to the various months, as well as a section on court sessions for the various New England states; an essay on rescuing the drowned and how to restore them; money tables and a list of roads in New Enland with the names of people who maintain houses of entertainment on them. Also of note is a list of slang words used by the "Beau Monde," most with a bit of a sarcastic edge to them, like "Angel. The name of a woman, commonly a very bad one," or "Nobody. All the people in America, except about 2000." In POOR condition. String tie holding the pamphlet together broken, with all pages in danger of becoming loose with much further handing. Moderate chipping and tearing along the extremities, moderate to heavy darkening to the pages, minor to moderate soiling throughout. Overall a very worn, fragile copy. Poor .
