Description: London, George Berger, Publisher, 1863. Pamphlet. no date, presumed 1863. Stated fiftieth thousand. Booklet, perhaps lacking wrappers. 84 pp. including covers. With a few illustrations and a hieroglyphic illustration on the rear cover. A yearly almanac, containing the usual monthly information, as well as tables on stamp duties, chronologies of the English monarchs, etc. Morrison also makes predictions for the year 1864, relying heavily on astrology and interpretation of the planets, etc. An account of a trial for libel which Morrison filed against Admiral Sir Edward Belcher (and won) is included. Richard James Morrison was an English astrologer, known mostly for his work under the pen name Zadkiel Tao Sze. GOOD condition. Minor toning. Some curling/creasing at the corners. Two faint signatures in ink on the upper front and rear cover. Good .
