Narrow folio. 31 pp. A handwritten book of balances owed, with names of customers, for an unnamed retailer in New Hampton, from April to September of 1876. The first few pages bear entries for various books sold, mostly grammars and mathematics, as well as Latin lexicons and classics. Ink and paper is sold as well, with many other retail items not book related also noted (entries of books not found after the first few pages). GOOD condition. Writing very faint, with many entries barely readable. Some foxing to the front cover, heavy to the rear. Some soiling and staining. Minor creasing and tearing to the wrappers. Hole in the lower rear cover. Minor soiling in the interior. Good .
