A short history of the South Bristol (Massachusetts) Farmers' Club, describing its founding, giving a list of members, meetings, topics at meetings, the acceptance of women into the group, philanthropy, etc. The South Bristol Farmers' Club was founded in 1882 by Franklyn Howland in an effort to promote agriculture and horticulture, as well as to foster learning among farmers. It disbanded in 1982 (see New Bedford Whaling Museum website). GOOD condition. Minor fading to the covers, with very light soiling and a few faint stains. Extremities scuffed. Dampstaining to the lower corner of the pages, with a few pages stuck together in this locale. Ownership signature present. Good/No Jacket.
