The first is a speech against the bills of Confiscation and Emancipation then in the House. Although in favor of ending slavery and ending the Civil War, Mr. Thomas speaks out against violating the Constitution with those laws. The second speech, by Charles R. Train also speaks out against violating the Constitution in an effort to end slavery. GOOD condition. Binding holes present along the spine, with remains of an old binding present. Some toning, minor soiling and wrinkling to the piece. Good .
