Dickinson on Come-Outerism in Ohio. This provides a look at the anti-slavery movement in the United States in the early 19th century, discussing the actions of reformers and abolitionists like William Lloyd Garrison and others, as well as the eventual come-outer movement that involved abolitionists withdrawing from their churches and other groups if those institutions did not support abolition. This includes brief discussion of come-outer activities in Ohio. POOR/FAIR condition. Perhaps ex-library, with call numbers in pencil at the top of the front cover. No other library treatments noted. Some notations in pencil to the upper front cover. Front cover effectively DETACHED, hanging on by a very small piece of paper, with the rear cover half DETACHED. Moderate chipping and loss to the wrapper extremities, with some associated creasing and tearing. Moderate offsetting, uneven browning and fading, as well as minor soiling to the covers. Moderate to heavy toning to the paper. Poor .
