Front/title page with an oval illustration in the center. 48 pp. An almanac for a single year, containing monthly calendars, as well as a list of stages for New England, roads in New England from Boston and their distances and innkeeper names. Also included are a few short anecdotes relating allegorical events surrounding a group of captured enslaved people, the quotes from a dying enslaved person, and the impressions of a preacher in South Carolina who conducted a religious service to a gathering of enslaved people . With other passages on various religious and missionary activities around the world. FAIR condition. Stitching almost completely worn away, with the piece tenuously bound together. Moderate to heavy browning to the paper, with moderate scattered soiling, some scattered staining, and a few stray marginal notes. Previous owner's name in ink atop the title page. Moderate to heavy chipping/tearing along the extremities, mostly to the fore edge, with minor loss. Heavy soiling to the tops of a few pages near the rear. Sabin 12901. Fair .
