This includes Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Cuba, Panama, Venezuela, etc. While this trip was undertaken primarily for recreation, it appears that an informal survey of American possessions was conducted, including Panama and the Panama Canal, with the author providing quotes and opinions of Cannon's. Joseph Gurney Cannon is considered to have been one of the most powerful Speakers of the House, controlling every aspect of its operation. FAIR/GOOD condition. Minor general fading to the covers, a bit heavier to the spine. Small stain at the center front hinge. Light scuffing and soiling. Corners and head and tail of the spine frayed. Both interior hinges cracked and separating. Text block weak but intact. Light browning to the paper. Fair/No Jacket.
